A busy life, a 104-degree heat index, an almost three-hour drive…a lot of factors could prevent you from participating in a day of golf and good works. But for the Gill family, and nearly 200 dedicated golfers and supporters, missing the annual Kendall Gill Golf Benefit, is simply not an option.

“We have a busy life trying to balance his (Kendall) career, my career and trying to raise two boys and so we don’t have a whole lot of time,” Wendy Gill said, “but this is one commitment we’ve made. There have been times when we didn’t quite know how it was going to happen, making it down, but we always have.”

It’s the commitment of so many—our sponsors, volunteers, golfers and friends—that drives this wonderful event and gives us the pleasure to announce that this year’s benefit has brought in a record $53,788 for Cunningham youth and families! Now that’s better than a hole-in-one!

Wendy added, “It’s about the relationships that we’ve built and maintained and that’s what’s key for us and keeping us a part of the family.”

Our foursomes and supporters have also become like family. Because of the generosity and financial support of our underwriting sponsors, Wespath Institutional Investments (eighth straight year) and Kirby Wealth Management Group (second year), a larger portion of registration fees and sponsorships go directly to support Cunningham programs.

For the second straight year, birdie sponsor Evergreen Roadwork made sure our course and proximity winners took home great prizes while our raffle prize sponsors offered awesome local experiences, gift cards and giveaways.

“We had an amazing group of sponsors, golfers, supporters, and volunteers who helped us make the 35th Annual Kendall Gill Golf Benefit the best year yet,” Ginger Mills, Cunningham’s Director of Advancement, said. “It was special to see golfers come out this year and pass on the legacy of helping Cunningham youth, by having their children, nieces and nephews who are now grown up, part of their foursomes.”
