About
Project Parenthood provides in home support to pregnant and/or parenting young adults through education, assessments, and connection to local resources. The program provides stability to help these young families succeed.
Support
- Assessment of the baby’s health and care for both mothers and fathers
- In-home or community visits to help improve parenting skills
- Support services, including assistance with transportation to doctors’ visits
- Individual counseling for the young parents
- Provision of items needed for the baby
Eligibility
Individuals:
- ages 14 through 21
- in DCFS care
- pregnant or a new parent
- who reside in Champaign, Dewitt, Ford, Macon, McLean, Piatt and Vermilion counties.
