Your support of the 6th Annual Be a Hero 5K brought in $22,426 in total proceeds and we are so grateful!
Some of the best moments from the Be a Hero 5K weren’t just about crossing the finish line first, but about the encouragement, determination and joy along the way.
We loved watching *Marty, one of our youth, stumble near the finish line, then get back up with encouragement from his staff Zay cheering him on. Another one of our kids, *Craig, brought his competitive spirit, racing his favorite staff member, Tyrese, to the finish line. Team CAV showed up strong, too!
And everywhere we looked, families, kids of all ages, groups of friends and supporters from throughout our community were walking, running, laughing and cheering together. Every superhero brought something special to the day, all united by one mission: showing up for the kids at Cunningham Children’s Home. Those are the moments that make this event truly super!
