The excitement from the 37th Annual Kendall Gill Golf Outing is still going strong! Thanks to the incredible generosity of our sponsors, golfers and supporters, we’re thrilled to announce that this year’s event raised $55,736 to help provide hope, healing and opportunity for the 958 youth and families Cunningham serves each year. Thank you for making such a meaningful impact!
It was wonderful to reconnect with the many loyal golfers and sponsors who have made this event a tradition, while also welcoming six new foursomes this year. Every new face strengthens our community of supporters and helps create brighter futures for the children and families we serve.
“I had no idea this was going to last so long, 37 years,” Gill said, “but many of the same people continue to come out and support it. Of course Mrs. Henson continues to come out and Coach (Shauna) Green and Brad (Underwood) continue to support it each year which is great. I think this outing has become a tradition in Champaign and we have to keep it going.”
The Kendall Gill Golf Benefit is one of the longest running – if not the longest – golf benefits in the country which is something Kendall is proud of.
“If something lasts maybe four or five years, then it starts to peter out but this hasn’t,” Gill said. “This has stood the test of time and the same people continue to come back and I think it’s because we contine to generate money for kids who really need it. That’s always a good cause when you’re helping out kids.”
The continued support we receive from out supporters makes a real difference. Because of the generosity of our underwriting sponsors—Wespath Institutional Investments (10th year) and Kirby Wealth Management Group (4th year) and ClockTower Community Bank (1st year)—a greater portion of every registration and sponsorship goes straight to programs that change kids’ lives.

And to our raffle prize sponsors—your gifts not only helped us meet our fundraising goal but also brought smiles through fun local experiences and gift cards.
